Kate McLeod
Head of School and Teacher Services
Kate McLeod is the Head of School and Teacher Services and has been working at the Museum since 2010. The school programs department serves over 50,000 students and 4,000 educators a year in guided tours, interactive workshops, professional learning workshops, and virtual programming. Kate strongly believes in the power of creating accessible and relevant pathways to students and teachers in Atlanta and beyond.
In addition to her work at the Museum, Kate co-founded a group called the Atlanta Cultural Educators, which keeps more than 140 cultural institution educators in Atlanta networking, creatively problem-solving, and collaborating. She has served on the board of the Georgia Art Education Association (GAEA) for almost ten years and was named Museum Educator of the Year by GAEA in 2012.
Kate earned her BS and MA degrees in art education from the University of Georgia and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
